SSC CGL Syllabus and Exam Pattern 2025 for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Exams

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will conduct the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination in June-July 2025. Scheme of the SSC CGL 2025 Examination
SSC CGL exam consists of two rounds of online examination. The Computer Based Examination will be conducted in two tiers as indicated:
- SSC CGL Tier 1 (MCQs Type Online Exam)
- SSC CGL Tier 2 (Paper 1, Paper 2 and Paper 3)
SSC CGL Syllabus 2025
Before going through the syllabus, candidates must be aware about the exam pattern and marking scheme. SSC CGL Tier 1 examination is qualifying in nature. It consist of 100 questions for 200 marks, which has to be completed with in 1 hour. For every coorect answer a candidate will be rewared for 2 marks and there is a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer. Let's have a look at the SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam pattern.

Marking Scheme: Each question carries 2 marks and 0.50 marks deducted for each wrong answer.

Negative Marking: There is a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer in Section-I, Section-II and Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I and 0.50 marks for each wrong answer in Paper-II.
